Vintage Brass Protector Lamp & Lighting Eccles Miners Safety Lamp
Description
A vintage brass miners safety lamp. The lamp features a cylindrical body with a glass section protected by vertical metal bars. The top is fitted with a domed cap, ventilation holes, and a loop handle. An embossed circular plate on the side of the lamp reads “PROTECTOR LAMP & LIGHTNING”, “TYPE S”, “M & C O.”, “SAFETY LAMPS”, “APPROVAL No. B/28”, and “MAKERS ECCLES”. A lever mechanism is present at the base.
